Brevard Relief Fund

March 13, 2020: As a response to COVID-19 the Community Foundation for Brevard has activated the Brevard Relief Fund in order to provide flexible resources to organizations in our region who are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus and the economic consequences of this outbreak. We will be working in close collaboration with community leaders to proactively identify potential grantees and be able to adapt to evolving needs.

In October of 2017, the impacts of Hurricane Irma on Brevard County inspired an anonymous donor to establish the Brevard Relief Fund at the Community Foundation for Brevard.

The Brevard Relief Fund will help address needs in the aftermath of a disaster. Examples of disaster for the purposes of the fund include but will not be limited to weather calamities such as hurricanes, tornadoes or floods, industrial accidents, or acts of terrorism.
During extended periods without disasters in the region, grants following the Community Foundation’s spending policy may be made to support proactive disaster planning and preparedness.
Please join us in building this important resource for Brevard. Gifts to the Brevard Relief Fund may be made online or mailed to 1361 Bedford Dr, Suite 102, Melbourne, FL 32940.
