Operating with Intention – Update on COVID-19

The Community Foundation for Brevard is deeply committed to the health and well-being of all of our stakeholders, partners, and communities. With the worldwide outbreak of COVID-19, we are working proactively to:

Protect the health and safety of our donors, partners, and staff. We will be adjusting our regular office activity to limit the spread of the virus.

  • You can continue to reach our team by email or office phone at 321-752-5505 or our cell phones.
  • We’ll continue to process contributions to funds and grant requests.
  • We’ll reach out about previously scheduled events and meetings to reschedule, move to phone, or adjust on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibly steward the philanthropic assets we manage.

In this time of market volatility, we are fortunate to have an active, experienced investment committee and investment managers paying careful attention to the market and our investments. As you know, we have responsible policies and strategies in place. Moving forward, we will continue to monitor our investments closely, while staying disciplined and focused on long-term goals.

Fulfill our mission as a community foundation.

We exist to serve our community, especially in times of critical need. Our hearts go out to the individuals and organizations most impacted by COVID-19, and we are activating our Brevard Relief Fund because local nonprofits can make meaningful differences with the right resources. We will be working with our partners to assess impact and need and take action. If you are interested in providing support to those affected, please let us know by emailing or calling us at 321-752-5505.

The Community Foundation for Brevard has a long history of working efficiently and effectively to direct the philanthropy of our donors to impactful community-based organizations working to strengthen our region.  A public health emergency such as this global pandemic illustrates how our fortunes are directly tied to one another, and we are committed to ensuring that our donors, grantees, and partners can work together to care for our most vulnerable neighbors.

Now, more than ever, we are driven to create a healthier, stronger community for all. We remain deeply grateful for your partnership in this work.
