Over the course of the Community Foundation for Brevard’s 41-year history we have served as a trusted resource and leader for philanthropic individuals and organizations to expand, enhance, and sustain Brevard County’s quality of life; helping our community be a place where everyone can thrive.
We strengthen our region by connecting generous donors with the causes that matter most to them. Since 1981, we’ve helped individuals, families and businesses contribute over $26.5 to make positive change in Brevard and beyond. In 2022 alone, just over $3 million has been granted to support and sustain our community.
To commemorate our collective impact in 2022, the Foundation gathered our fundholders, nonprofit partners, and community leaders for a celebration of philanthropy on November 3rd at Groundswell Startups. Co-founder of Groundswell Startups and Community Foundation fundholder Bud Deffebach spoke to the importance of investing time, energy and resources now to set up future generations for success. Theresa Grimison, President and CEO of the Community Foundation, shared the organization’s focus on inspiring and amplifying philanthropy to create an even stronger tomorrow.
“Each and every one of our fundholders and community partners – past and present – serve as integral building blocks for all we have accomplished,” said Grimison. “Uniting as co-creators is a powerful way we can make our beloved community even better, forever.”
The Community Foundation for Brevard is poised for growth and invites anyone interested in maximizing their philanthropic impact to join us as community co-creators. Please visit CFBrevard.org to learn more.
